Many industries use rolls in many different applications. For example the paper, steel, aluminium, printing, plastics, mining and packaging industries all use rolls of many different sizes, shapes, materials and configurations as part of their manufacturing process. All these rolls have one thing in common and that is they all wear out – in some cases very quickly and in others a little more slowly but never-the-less, wear out they eventually will !
Avweld have been repairing rolls of many different types for many different industries for many years. Using one or more of our
Superior Surfacing Solutions™ we are able to re-build almost any configuration or size of roll as well as complete any other mechanical work required.
Applications may include tungsten carbide by HVAF Robotic system, ceramic coatings with Plasma spray, weld overlays by our latest electroslag strip cladding or open-arc and submerged-arc welding or a variety of other different options. Process decisions are based on our experience in conjunction with discussions with our clients to achieve the required end-result.
In addition to application of this large variety of coatings we can also finish them to a high standard through our comprehensive, in-house machining capability.
We are particularly excited this year to be introducing
“Total Roll Solutions” by Avweld, providing the Pulp and Paper Industry with a complete solution to all their roll repair and refurbishment needs.
