The design, manufacture and refurbishment of rotary valves has been a significant part of the Avweld business for nearly 20 years. Every heavy duty rotary valve manufactured by Avweld incorporates at least one and often several of our specialised coating or cladding systems (Superior Surfacing Solutions™ ) to add long life, fault-free performance and improved efficiency.
- Tungsten Carbide coated bores – many options to choose from depending on the severity
of the application - Diamond Ground Rotor O.D. For accurate clearances.
- Eight vane rotors for efficient sealing.
- Skewed vanes for efficient shearing action.
- Top and bottom tool steel knife for efficient cutting of strips reducing bore wear due to
drag through. - Over end sealing with Tungsten Carbide. Reduces wear between rotor end plate and
stator bore. - Side sealing with spring loaded Tungsten Carbide on Tungsten Carbide seal ring. Zero
maintenance as screws do not need tightening during service. Giving a zero clearance seal
at the top of the side cavity for less by-pass. - Tungsten carbide coated packing gland journal. Allows use of hard or soft packing with
no risk of wear again reducing maintenance and messy by-pass which can cause premature
bearing failure. - Extremely Heavy Duty Fabrication of all components with optional Cast Steel body and
end plates on some small Rotary Valves for easy rebuilding and overlaying. - Outrigged heavy duty bearings ensure accurate centralization maintaining superior clearance
through the life of the Rotary Valve. - Choice of right angle shaft mounted gearmotors (Highly recommended-we suggest the use of
SEW motors and gearboxes), chain or belt drives. - All components are stress relieved, removing any residual stress created by the welding
processes and greatly reducing the possibility of cracks developing even in the most extreme
applications.
